Discount Tire

Attendant was courteous, informative, and helpful. He tried to get the best price for me and even checked my spare, lugs, and wiper blades. This experience was a far cry from an earlier experience I had with another well-known company.

I have been a loyal Discount Tire customer for over 10 years, from Dallas, Texas, to Missouri, and now Tennessee. Over the years, I've always received great service, but what happened recently at the Murfreesboro location truly earned my respect and lifelong loyalty. Back in 2020, I purchased a full set of Nitto Terra Grappler tires. Like many customers, I never thought to ask about the manufacturing date of a brand-new set of tires. Fast forward to today: the tires only had about 30,000 miles on them, and I brought my truck in for a routine balance and rotation, something I've consistently done every 5,000 miles. That's when I learned the tires were already 10 years old and could no longer be serviced for safety reasons. Naturally, I was frustrated because that meant the tires were already around four years old when they were installed. After leaving the store, I contacted customer service to discuss the situation. Shortly afterward, the store manager, Jet, personally called me. He listened to my concerns, reviewed the history, and even discovered that the mileage recorded in the system was incorrect. It's worth noting that the tires were originally purchased at the Smyrna loca

I work at a different discount tire location (VAB05) , and was in the middle of a 1.4k mile road trip, so I stopped here for a rotation and rebalance, so I know how things are supposed to go. The Backroom Manager, I forgot to get his name, was one who checked my boyfriend and I in, he failed to do a proper VTV/inspection on my vehicle even after asked. This shop for some reason still uses air tools, and the techs in the back burned almost every lug hole on my new wheels, thankfully it's minor but if it was worse any than this, I'd be asking for reimbursement or new wheels! To top it off, the vibration is genuinely worse than before I went in! Only giving one star because the techs in the back were very friendly.

Only good thing about today was they lowered the blinds a bit to keep the sun out of our eyes as customers while the crew takes 2 hours to swap a flat. Although I like the convenience of the locations more and more of these places hire absolute crap workers. Even as far as to place a NEWLY replaced tire on the front and I had to ask to get it rotated to the back before I left. Again, my information was changed in the system with absolutely no explanation and I never received text updates about my own vehicle. I'm personally absolutely sick of eating my time and patience with these folks. Soon as these warranties are out, I'll never do business with DT ever again. I originally stopped by just to price shop, but Omar did such an outstanding job that I ended up getting new tires installed the same day. The team was courteous, professional, and easy to work with. Their excellent service made the decision effortless. Highly recommend!
